Material Re-Use, Bundoora

In this project we were presented with a typical suburban block which was essentially flat with large amounts of concreted areas. The client wanted an atypical garden which would be easy to maintain and would introduce a new ecology and ecosystem on the site. We achieved this by introducing locally indigenous, native and exotic plants planted together to create interesting and unusual plant combinations. We also introduced  biomorphic form and topography by re-using the concrete on site, we also used this concrete to create a sculpture behind the pond. This project was featured in The Age in an article written by Megan Backhouse here.
